The institute of Sales & Marketing Management (ISMM), the worldwide representative body for sales people has released its CRM Survey 2013.

Of the companies surveyed, a staggering 40% either do not intend to use CRM because they consider that it is ineffective for their business, or have developed their own in-house bespoke systems. Of those that are using CRM only 54% reported being satisfied and 43% expect to introduce a change of CRM system in the next 2 years. This must be a clear indication for CRM vendors that our business environment is rapidly and fundamentally changing and that their products are in danger of becoming outdated.

Foresite SPA’s CEO Brian Hawkes gave a presentation on “Dynamic Forecasting and Control of Future Business Outcomes” under the ‘Improving Data and IT Strategies for CPM’ section of the 4th Controlling Forum held at Schiphol, Amsterdam on 21st March 2013.

Brian discussed new advances and concepts in sales performance management, introducing the audience to trajectory management, scenario targeting and G-Index. However delegates showed particular interest in commercial intelligence methodologies which were considered to be ground breaking and an important feature in FP&A in the future.
